At the recent International Bulk Journal Awards, DOCKSOLID overcame strong global competition, including the USA, Australia, Sweden and the United Kingdom to win the award for the Best Ship Loading/Unloading System. The award recognizes the most efficient, safe and innovative dry bulk cargo flow system in the industry, and is voted on by an international panel of port owners and operators.
DOCKSOLID supplies an industry leading range of hoppers, which incorporates a range of products from simple 5 Meter standard hoppers to 9 Meter Dust Aspirated Environmental Hoppers with self-driving mobile capability and/or bespoke discharge solutions, with wheel mounted, rail mounted or static units available. The award was for two Environmental Hoppers delivered to and in use at the Port of Hull.
Speaking after receiving the award, Paddy Coakley, Sales Director, said it was a huge honor for the company. “Obviously we’re delighted to win the award, and proud that it’s a reflection of the quality and craftsmanship that goes into all our units. International recognition like this is a real endorsement of the DOCKSOLID brand .
DOCKSOLID was shortlisted for two categories, Cargo Handling and Best Ship Loading/Unloading System, and was the sole Irish representation on the shortlist of nominees. The awards are held annually and this year took place in Antwerp in November.
